18 Concert Etudes

In this challenging new set of studies, “18 Concert Etudes” for solo Clarinet, James Rae aims to help develop good technique and to nurture musicianship from grade 6 through to college level.

As might be expected from James Rae, there are swing, funk and jazz etudes but other musical styles, right back to the baroque period, are not neglected. Not only can the serious Clarinet student use them for warm-ups and practice but they are also quite suitable to be programmed as concert pieces in their own right, alongside accompanied works of all styles.
