A New Psalm (Psalm 98)

A lively and rhythmic setting of this ancient text in Hebrew and English. While an English singing translation is provided as a performance option, the composer prefers that the piece be sung using the Hebrew lyrics.  The form is strophic, with music featuring syncopations and alternating time signatures. The front matter of the edition includes the words in Hebrew, an English translation, a transliteration, a phonetic pronunciation guide, and a substantial piano part. A rousing piece, great for services or as a concert finale.
