The Cypress String Quartet has had a long relationship with composer Daniel Asia, including the premiere and subsequent recording of his String Quartet No. 2. For their commissioning project "Call & Response," Asia wrote his String Quartet No. 3 "The Seer" in 2007. And last year, the stellar cellist and founding member of the quartet, Jennifer Kloetzel, gave the world premiere of Asia's Cello Suite.
