Clarinet Duets Volume 2

Many of the composers represented in this volume were themselves clarinet players in the 18th and early 19th centuries - or more precisely, they were clarinete players who also composed.

In order to give greater variety to the collection Thea King has arranged some more familiar excerpts from other sources as well as contributing her selection of movements from the Stadler Duets.

Editorial additions are indicated only in the works originally for clarinet, shown by square brackets around dynamic markings and bars through the slurs. Markings in the arrangements are to be considered as part of the transcription.
