Come Sunday

Duke Ellington's Come Sunday, arranged by Mike Tomaro for Jazz Ensemble.

Come Sunday was originally composed as part of Ellington's suite Black, Brown andBeige. After a disappointing critical response to its first performance in 1943, Ellington divided the three-part suite into six shorter sections, leaving in 'Come Sunday' and 'Work Song'. It is this version that herecorded for an album of the same title in 1958.
