In the study of the saxophone the 48 Etudes by Will Ferling play an important role. These well-known exercises are commonly used by advanced saxophone students to develop their technical and melodic skills. André Waignein has composed piano accompaniments to these Etudes, which will give this music a completely new dimension. On the CD, the demo tracks are played by Nobuya Sugawa; the tempo indication given by Ferling has been used, to give you an idea of how the Etudes are meant to sound.
