Creative Musical Encounters

The musical essays included in this little volume have been selected from a larger group of articles written by Harold Zabrack.

The essays concern themselves with a rather wide range of different musical subjectswhich include an in-depth study of musical performance, several analyses of Keyboard works by J. S. Bach, Chopin and Brahms, a description of an innovative kind of experience entitled 'The Musical Encounter Experience', aquasi-psychoanalytic investigation into a possible etiology of Piano technique, and finally a discussion and evaluation of twentieth century music.
