There are three important parameters in play: order - disorder, agreement - disagreement, and clarity - confusion. This applies to both the horizontal and vertical level. The polyphony is characterized bylines that often develop in spite of the other voices. Dynamics, articulation, accentuation and timbre are essential elements. Indeterminacy is used a few places and explained in the score.
