This solo is written in the style of a fanfare heralding the entrance of a king or queen or some dignitary. Different from most fanfares this is also written as a minuet, which is a musical form in ¾ time that is based on a French dance. The piece therefore should be played in a majestic way, but with a dance-like lilt. Rudiments used includes: Flam, Flam Tap, 5 Stroke Rolls, Multiple Bounce Roll Program Notes, Form and Analysis, Performance Suggestions, and CD accompaniment are included with solo and piano accompaniment.
