Fantaisie

Composed for the Paris Conservatoire contest by Pierre Revel (1901-1984), Fantaisie is a melodious piece for Bb Clarinet and Piano. Rated as difficult (8°), this piece is perfect for demonstrating your skills and technique.

Dedicated to Ulysse Delécluse, Fantaisie is divided in three main sections:
- Prélude – Modderato (senza rigore)
- Andante, featuring a Cadenza by the Clarinet solo
- Final which include a “Meno mosso” part and a “1 tempo”, before closing on a really harmonious note.

The mastering of breathingtechniques and a great flexibility are required for this piece which demonstrates the whole range of the instrument.
