Guitar Prep Test

The Guitar Prep Test is an ideal introduction to the ABRSM exam experience: it gives students a goal to work towards and a certificate on the day – something to be really proud of.

Candidates play three short tunes from memory, as well as choosing two pieces to play (one of which can be a duet). There are then four listening games to complete.

The Guitar Prep Test book has been completely refreshed for use from January 2019 onwards, with five new pieces (including two duets), three short tunes and examples of listening games to help candidates prepare. With easy-to-follow instructions and entertaining illustrations, preparing for the Guitar Prep Test hasnever been more fun!
