This second book of solos is a direct continuation of the first. It takes students to a point where they can begin to tackle the standard sonata and concerto repertoire. The book is designed to cover many of the technical problems encountered by the intermediate horn player and later pieces introduce important techniques such as hand-stopping and the bass clef.As with book one, many pieces are originally associated with the horn and notes at the back of the book give background information and tips for interpretation.
