The Letters for You by Giuseppe Di Girolamo are perfectly suited to the guitar as an instrument. They contain a wealth of exuberant melodies which are always enjoyable to play, not only because the tempi are never over-demanding and the left-hand fingerings are almost naturally logical (fingerings are only indicated where this is not the case). No; the real reason why these pieces are such a joy to play is that they make any guitar sound simply beautiful! Players with pre-intermediate skills and beyond will find them motivating and satisfying. These pieces are also very valuable in terms of guitar didactics because they directly challenge the player to develop themelodic flow. The Letters for You will teach the player how to make the guitar sing! (Michael Koch)
