Mary, Did You Know?

Despite having been written as recently as 1991, this modern Christmas song has already been covered by more than twenty artists and now forms an indispensable part of the choral Christmas repertoire, rightly being called a classic.

With lyrics and music by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene, Mary, Did You Know? was originally recorded by the Christian recording artist Michael English on his solo debut album. Multiple recordings have appeared over the years across multiple genres ranging from contemporary gospel to a cappella, country and R&B, most recently by the popular vocal group Pentatonix.
