Rondino For Violin And Piano Op.18 No.4

Rondino was first published in 1900 as the fourth in a collection of eight Bagatelles (Op. 18) for solo Violin with Piano accompaniment. It was composed by the violinist, composer and pedagogue Gustav Ellerton, who is also known for his collection of 6 Morceaux Mignons (Op. 21).

Each Bagatelle in the collection is designed for the young and beginner violinists; each movement can be played entirely in the first position. No. 4, Rondino, is a semiquaver movement that is ideal for developing dexterity and rhythmic pulse in the fingers of the left hand.
