Royal Irish Academy Music Workout Grade 2

Music Workout by Jean Archibald and Bernadette Marmion is a series of nine theory workbooks based on the syllabus of the Local Centre examinations in Theory. Each workbook ( Preparatory to Grade 8 ) includes detailed explanatory notes; books for the earlier grades are based on a ‘Topic-per-Page’ format.

Exercises in sight-singing and rhythmic clapping form an integral part of each workbook and are included to develop the aural and written skills side by side.

This material also provides useful preparation for the ‘reading’ elements of the new Aural Tests programme.

This course is planned to provide a foundation for the study of Musicianship andto ensure a thorough grasp of music literacy, and is suitable for use by students following any music programme.
