Wilhelm Middelschulte (1863–1943) studied chirch music in Berlin and worked as director of the organ devision of the American Conservatory in Chicago and the Wisconsin Conservatory in Milwaukee since 1891. As organ virtuoso he had a great educational effect in the US.
