Descrição
Orchestral music played a significant role in the output of Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. In his early years as a professional organist at the Sophienkirche in the Saxon capital Dresden [1733-1746], he developed his own unmistakable personal style in a series of ambitious concertos and sinfonias. The surviving body of W. F. Bach's sinfonias has been affected by considerable losses. The Sinfonia in D major [BR-WFB C-Inc. 16], published here for the first time, was attributed to both Johann Sebastian Bach and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, however on stylistic grounds, it is more likely attributable to W. F. Bach.Detalhes
