The famous bugle call dating from the period of the American Civil War was actually a song with words as well. Meegan Coleman's arrangement preserves the soulful period flavor and makes Taps into a very effective choral piece. Though the text is not explicitly patriotic, the associations of the song make it appropriate for programs needing a patriotc touch.
