The Moon is dead (SATB)

La Lune Est Morte is a piece for SATB containing the score for Mixed voices or Equal voices, on music by Georges Liferman. With lyrics by Jacques Mareuil, this lyrical piece is quite melancholy: “Cry Pierrots, Poets and Black cats, the Moon is dead” being the main recurrent sentence.

The chorus is sung by all voices, while the verses lyrics are only sung by the Tenor and the Bass accompanied by a melody of “o” by the two other voices.
